Earning money by working online has become so popular now a day and people with any level of skills and with any kind of skills, prefer to earn some extra cash by working online from home. In the countries with low currency value like Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Phillipines and different other countries of Asia and Africa, dollar rate is reasonably higher and so professionals and students of these countries can earn (and are earning) a huge money through freelancing sites like VWorker, Freelancer, Elance, ODesk etc.

Western Union is the first alternative that you can use and can get your payments in your hand within no time. You don't even need any bank account to get your money through Western Union. Below are the steps to get money through Western Union:

Paypal Alternative 1: Western Union:

1. Ask Your money sender to send you money through Western Union. In your case, select Western Union option when choosing Payment option on Freelancing site you are working. Provide your Full Name (It should match your name on CNIC), your address and your National Identity (CNIC).
2. Your sender will use the above provided information and will dispatch money to you. Western Union will provide a MTCN (Money Transfer Control Number) to the money sender which will be then shared with you by the money sender. It will be a 4 digt Number that only you and your sender will be knowing.
3. Once the sender has shared MTCN number with you, you can go to any nearest Western Union Agent and ask for your money. Before going to an agent, it's always good to verify from Western Union site as well where you can track the money transfer status by just entering the MTCN number.
4. Once you have approached WU agent, he will ask you to fill a simple form with information like MTCN number, sender's Name/Address, your name, contact number etc and your signature. He will also demand a photo copy of your Identity card and will also look into your original ID card to verify it. 
5. Once, agent has taken form from you and verified everything, he will be giving money to you sent by the freelancing site. Remember that Western Union will give you money in your local currency. i.e. Western Union converts the currency to your local currency before making payments.
6. Typically Western Union charges $15 for payments of amount 120 dollars or less. You can get details from Western Union site about charges for any amount of money transacted through Western Union.

PayPal Alternative 2: Moneybookers:

If you have a bank account with any bank like Standard Chartered Bank, Silk Bank, UBL or any bank that support online transactions, Moneybookers is the best and most cost effective alternative to Paypal in Pakistan. You just need to sign up with Moneybookers, link your Moneybookers account with your bank account and then you are done!! Any payments that will come in your Moneybookers account, can be transferred to your bank account with just a few clicks. The best thing about money bookers is that it doesn't cost you much for it's services. Moneybooker charges just 2 dollars for each transactions which is very low compared to high charges of Western Union. Transferring from your MB account to your bank account may take some time depending upon the bank you are transferring. For Standard Chartered Bank, it took me 2 days to complete all transfer process. Luckily, SCB, didn't charge any more money on this transaction, so 2 dollars is the total money charged to you for transaction of any amount.
