how to promote facebook pageSo many people create Facebook Fan Pages (now known as Like Pages) for some kind of business, celebrities, communities etc to socially interact with others, to share information and views and to keep people updated. Making a Facebook page is very simple and free and takes even less than a minute but the real challenge is to promote the page and to let the world know about the page. So many pages are created on Facebook but they fail to get required likes or clicks and hence fail to serve the purpose.
There are some tips and tricks that can be followed by pages admins to get a substantial growth for their pages and to get noticed by a huge number of targeted audience on this gigantic social media platform.
Here are the top and best tips to promote a Facebook page:
  • The name of your Facebook page matters a lot. Make sure that the name of your page is easy to spell, easy to pronounce and matches the purpose of page. For example, I have a Facebook page for Freelancing Tips and Tricks and I have named it as "Freelancing Tips and Tricks (Work From Home)".  The name of the page clearly matches to the purpose of the page and also easy for people to understand.
  • Make sure that URL of your page is very precise, simple and easy to spell. For my Freelancing tips and tricks page, I have following URL:
You can see how simple and easy this name is.
  • Photo Tagging is the best and most successful way to promote a Facebook page. Create some unique and innovative photo, upload it on your page and then tag people in this photo. More you tag people in a photo, more is the page reached and hence more it's liked. Try to tag those people which are more related to the subject of your page. For example, for my Freelancing tips and tricks page, I always prefer to tag those people who are directly or indirectly related to Freelancing industry.
  • Create interesting and involving polls on your page. Polls are highly liked by Facebook audience and they are more prone to respond to polls.
  • Make sure that you keep your page fully alive and keep on adding new posts, new videos, new links etc on regular basis.
